Sam serves as an Associate Financial Advisor at Bluestem, where he works alongside clients to bring clarity and structure to important financial decisions. He is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional reflecting his commitment to a client-first, fiduciary approach to planning.

A Central Illinois native, Sam grew up in St. Joseph and graduated from St. Joseph-Ogden High School before earning his degree in Financial Planning from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Choosing to build his career in the same community that shaped him, Sam values developing long-term relationships and supporting individuals and families through the financial decisions that impact their everyday lives.

He is known for his thoughtful, steady approach and his ability to help clients better understand where they are today while identifying opportunities for the future. Sam is passionate about making financial planning feel accessible and actionable—helping clients move forward with greater confidence, clarity, and alignment with what matters most to them.

Sam began his career at Bluestem through the firm’s Financial Planning Residency program, where he developed the foundation for his client-centered approach and collaborative work with the broader advisory team.

Outside of work, Sam enjoys traveling with his fiancée, spending time with family and friends, and exploring new places. He can often be found taking his German Shepherd, Walter, on long walks, cheering on the Buffalo Bills, or attending Illini sporting events.
